Albany Ale and Oyster approached me to make some new fun merch for them. They were looking to represent a new side of the restaurant that went along with the renovations and the direction of the restaurant. Made sweaters for the cooler months and t shirts with bright colors for the warmer months.

Albany Ale & Oyster is an open kitchen concept with a raw bar and wood-fired oven with a well curated menu that focuses on intentional, seasonal ingredients, comforting dishes and a commitment to the freshest and most sustainable seafood available.
Shirt design #1
The Illustrations style I went with was a fun loose play on illustration mixed with typography. I used menu items and abstracted them to make out letters to spell the companies name out. These designs sold out in one week which led to multiple reprints due to the high popularity.
Tote Bags
With the gaining popularity of the shirt designs I was asked to mock up some tote bags to accompany them, used the same colorful unique typography and placed it on a natural colored tote bag to match the shirts.
Shirt design #2
With the huge success of the first illustrative typography shirts I was asked to create a second shirt that went along with the original theme but something new. I used the similar loose illustration style here but came up with something fresh so it didn’t look like the art was a copy paste. I sketched up something totally different but used a similar color palette to match.
Shirt design #3
This shirt, while inspired by the colors of the previous ones, I was asked to make a shirt based around take out thank you bags but using the tone, color, and feel of the restaurant.
Sweatshirt Design
These crewneck sweatshirts were made based off the owners idea of having them look like a vintage Albany library card that he had since he was a child.
